Zoe on playset

Today was the first day that Zoe explored the play set on her own two feet. Usually we just swing her or carry her around because she wanted to eat the pea gravel. This time she didn't even try once to grab the gravel. She enjoyed walking all around it and exploring the slide. Good exercise for those chunky monkey legs. I actually had to end the movie because I worried about her climbing up the slide. Enjoy!

More walking

Zoe has improved her walking skills. Here is a short movie.

Zoe is walking

Zoe started taking about 4 steps and more about 2 weeks ago. We were really excited. She still likes to crawl as her primary way of moving around but especially when she is holding and picking up stuff she likes to take steps.

Last week I made this movie while we were outside. She didn't take many steps just a couple but I thought this was really fun.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZOE!

On April 9, 2009 we celebrated Zoe's first birthday. Gary's mom is visiting for a week and we are happy for her to join our birthday celebration. We let Zoe go crazy with the cake. Here are some pictures. At the end of the day Zoe and Grandma relaxed on the swing in the garden.

Zoe Crawling - Movie

I caught her this morning crawling.

 

Crawling

Zoe has been making her first attempts of crawling since Tuesday.  Today she made about 5 crawl steps.  So far I had no luck getting her on film. Seems like I never have the camera handy when she does it.  She still makes just enough steps to get to the toy she wants and reaches for it.

I'll post some footage as soon as I get some.

Last weekend Gary's friend Mark came over to visit. He brought his awesome camera and took some really great pictures of Zoe. Here they are. Ohh, and Gary and Mark brew some new beer - an Irish stout.
